Members present: Don Harrington, Allen Burt, Joan Axtt, Bill Webb, Marge Webb, and Larry Day, Richard Brown Missing: Mary Lou Zakrzewski, Terry Black, Ann Sowle, Mark Eshleman, Cathy Harrington

Minutes from the April 4 meeting were read and discussed.

The Treasurers report was read and Joan Axtt stated that the balance is $403.30.

The date to start the ladder competition on courts 4-6 was discussed. Bill Webb said that he would like to start Nov 15 but that he only knew of 4 or 5 people ready and willing to play. Don took an action to contact Ann Sowle to send out a request to all members to see who can start next Tuesday. It was also reiterated based on a decision last April that the ratings would be eliminated.

Don had gotten approval from the office and has ordered and installed a new crank for court 6. A new net for court 4 was ordered and received and is currently in the shed.

The subject of windscreens was discussed. The office has ordered and received new windscreens for courts 1-3. Don will talk to the office to see who is to install them. Don will also talk to the office to see if they could order at least 3 new windscreens for courts 4-6.

Tournament dates for Dec, Jan, and March have been scheduled and Woodland Hall has been reserved for all 3 banquets. The dates are Dec 8-10, Jan 19-21, and March 16-18.

Allen Burt took an action to talk to Bonnie DeSiro about a date for the first Tennis Social.

Richard Brown presented a suggested change to the social tennis schedule based on the fact that many people think the 10 AM start is too late. After some discussion the following change will be made on a trial basis: Courts 2 and 6 will be assigned weekdays for social tennis at 8:30 and extend to other courts only if they are available. Additional social tennis will continue at 10 am thru noon. This applies to weekdays with the exception of Tuesday which is ladder day.

The topic of the new Pickleball lines which have been painted on Court 3 was discussed. Don and Bill took the action to meet with the Pickleball president (Chris Schneider) to see if we could come to an amicable agreement on when that court would be used for Pickleball.

Marge Webb, the new web site manager, said that she has been able to get on the tennis web site and she is going to update the calendar, add the dates of the Executive

Board meetings, and any other information that the board thinks should be on the calendar.

A motion to adjourn was made and seconded with all in favor. Mtg adjourned at 5:20. The next meeting will be on Dec 5. Time and place TBD.
