Mixed Doubles Tournament Plan:
Terrence Black entertained a discussion of Mixed Doubles Tournament issues. There was consensus on the following:
 Four medals will be issued—two for first place and two for runner up.
 The format will be double elimination. First team to five games wins. If teams are tied at four
games each there will be Coman 7-point tie breaker.
 Food plans are hotdogs (60), bottled water (40), bananas, oranges, muffins, chip, and cookies.
Bert Martin has volunteered to cook the hotdogs. We will ask Rich DeSiro if we may use his grill.
Ice chests and ice will be requested from SNF Activities.
 Sign up for men and women is Wednesday, Feb 12 from 10 to noon on Courts 4, 5, and 6.
Women will pick partners on Monday Feb 17 at 10:00 a.m. [If more men than women sign up,
some men will not be able to participate.] The Tournament itself will be Saturday Feb 22 and
will start at 8:00 a.m. Tournament “Headquarters” will be at court 6. Play will be on all five
courts. The tournament rain date is Monday, February 24.

Venue Eviction: At 2:45 another group came into the Cottage and said that the Activities Department
had scheduled them for use of the Cottage starting at 3:00. Since they were going to do a song and
dance rehearsal, we gave up the room, adjourned, and moved to the Pavilion at the Town Center. At
2:50 p.m. our meeting resumed.

March Tournament Plans:
The date for the March tournament is March 19 and 21. The SNF Activities Department moved the
location of the Banquet on March 21 from Woodland Hall to the Cypress Room.

Joan Martin and Terrence Black will determine pricing of various meal options that don’t require Bonnie DeSiro’s culinary and kitchen management skills. [It is understood the DeSiro’s are closing on their house in early March and may not be available to help with the banquet.] Meal
