Tennis Executive Board Meeting

Members present :

Don Harrington, Ann Sowle, Cathy Harrington, Mary Lou Zakrzewski, Joan Axtt, Terry Black, Mark Eshleman, Larry Day, Scott Foster, Bob Dougherty, Richard Brown

Secretary’s report was read and accepted.

Treasurer’s report was read. Our balance is $ 785.20

New Business

Don suggested that there are stronger clips available for the screens on the courts. Don will order them for use next year. Richard Brown suggested using nylon cord. It was decided to order both and try them to see which will hold the screens better.

Cathy reported on the parade. An email was sent out telling the dates for meetings.

Jan Altholtz donated, in her husbands memory, a painting of tennis players painted by a famous artist. She wanted the tennis association to benefit from the sale or raffle of the painting. It was decided to raffle the painting at the tennis banquet.

Our next tournament is on Jan 18-20. Sign-up will be at all courts on Thurs. Jan.11th and Fri. Jan 12th from 10-12.

The banquet will be in the Cypress Room. Social hour at 5:00 and dinner at 6:00.

The menu is three kinds of homemade soups, salad, bread, and ice cream sundaes for dessert.

The price is $2 for the tournament and $8 for dinner. There will be a 50/50 raffle.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:20. The next meeting will be on Mon. Feb. 5th at 3:15.
