Tennis Executive Board Meeting

Members present: Don Harrington, Scott Foster, Ann Sowle, Mary Lou Zakrzewski, Bonnie DeSiro, Terry Black, Bob Dougherty, Cathy Harrington, Mark Eshleman, Joan Axtt, Richard Brown

Members absent: Larry Day


The Secretary’s report from the November 6 meeting was read and approved.

The Treasurers report was read. The current balance is $664.32


Old Business:

Don reported that the net on court 2 had been replaced. He also reported that the net on court 4 needs to be replaced and that the office has 2 new nets on order. One will be for court 4 and one for a spare. He also reported that purchases of materials for which the office will pay must not be done with a credit card, only cash. That means that items ordered on-line must be ordered by the office.

Bonnie reported that she and Rich DeSiro made a new score marker and installed on court 4.

Don reported that a work party was held and the screens installed on courts 4-6.


New Business:

Terry Black reported that he would be making the pairings for the December tournament.

Bonnie reported that arrangements had been completed for the food for the banquet. A decision was made to have the 50/50 raffle as usual.

Cathy reported that a Parade meeting had been held and there was a good turnout with lots of good ideas for our theme Cleopatra. She will have people sign up at the Tournament banquet and commit to wearing a costume and marching in the parade.

Don commended Bob for doing a great job on the tennis website. The address is:

A decision was made to start the Thursday ladder at 8AM rather than 8:30AM and to use courts 1,2,4,5,6


The meeting was adjourned at 4PM.
