Old Business:
  • Court 3 now has the hitting board back in place after the fencing was painted.
  • Mixed doubles tourney sign up is this Thursday, Feb. 9.  Women will pick their partners on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10 am on cts. 1-2.
  • Parts from two courts were used to repair a bad net on courts 4-6 and therefore we still have a new net in reserve.
  • Parade budget was $200. Parade chairperson with the generous help from committee members only turned in an expense report for $178.54
  • The Tennis club won the category for most creative for the entry in the parade.   The prize for this achievement is a free BBQ at the pool with drinks included on a date to be determined.  It will however, be a Sunday.
New Business:
  • A nominating committee of three persons needs to be found to round up candidates for the offices specified in the constitution.  Any member is eligible for the committee and needs to be determined and working prior to the next Board meeting.
  • The Wednesday Ladder will add the use of court 1 in addition to 4, 5, 6 for one group starting play at 8 am as long as there remains seven rungs. This added court will preclude the need for a 12:30 pm time.
  • The Tuesday Ladder will add play on court 3 at 8:30 am alone with courts 4, 5, 6.
Discussion followed regarding pickleball vs tennis use of court 3 on Mon. Wed. and Fri.  No conclusions were reached.
