Old Business
Tournaments: Discussed food shortage at the December banquet. More food will be ordered for future banquets and any leftovers will be available for people to buy and take home. The sign-up deadline for the January tournament participation will be adhered to and an e-mail to members will be sent out regarding this. A portion of the money made at 50/50 will be donated to a charity to be determined.
Ladder: The trial using the pickle ball method for group placement was not working for tennis, so we will continue with our present system.
New Business
Moved and approved to buy balls for both ladders. Mark Eshleman will be responsible to buy and distribute.
Maintenance: Need ties for windscreens on all courts. Umbrellas needed for Courts 4/5/6 Don will check with park before buying.
Tournaments: We will try and schedule the January, 2017 tournament for the 4th week in January. The tournament chairman will discuss with the office to have tournaments listed in the weekly Buzz.
Tournament Participation: In order to participate in tournaments , players must be in the park for 30 continuous days (before during or after) Participation in the ladder is strongly encouraged. Ladder and past tournament as well as membership in the Tennis Club will be used for tournament placement.These rules will be written up by Don to present at the next Executive Board Meeting.
