Minutes

January 9, 2017

Members Present- Don Harrington,Terry Black, Ann Sowle, Mark Eshelman,Cathy Harrington,Mary Lou Zakrzewski,Allen Burt,Bonnie Desiro, and Marge Webb

Absent-Richard Brown, Joan Axtt, Bill Webb

Secretary's Report - Minutes of the Dec meeting were read. A motion to accept was made by Allen Burt and seconded by Larry Day. All in favor

Treasurer's Report- was read and accepted. The balance is $605.50

New Business-

A discussion on screens for the tennis courts.  There was a request from the office that all screens should be installed alike.  It was stated that screens on court 3 were not put back up after the fence was painted. Don will talk to the office about that.

It was decided to keep the new rules for the tournament, Terry reported that everyone liked playing 28 games.

The next tournament will be Jan 19-21. Qualifying matches on Thurs. Fri. is the rain date. Finals on Sat. The fee to play is $2.00. The banquet is $8.00 for members and $10.00 for non members. The menu is chicken, potato salad, baked beans and dessert. Cocktails at 4:00 and dinner at 5:00. There will be a 50/50 raffle. Sign up and payment will be on courts 1/2 and 4-6 on Thurs.the 12th and Fri. the 13th.and at Terry Black's 774 Rainbow. The deadline is 5:00 on the 14th.

The mixed doubles tournament will be Feb.16 and the raindate the 18th.

Cathy announced that there are several meetings for the Homecoming Parade and she will send out an email to remind the parade committee.

Marge Webb described how she is cleaning up the web site by organizing pictures,meetings etc.

Allen Burt made a motion to adjourn seconded by Bonnie De Siro.

Next meeting is on Feb 6 in the Pine room at 3:15
